Creative Aging Mid-South works to improve quality of life for Mid-South elders by providing access to experiences in the arts.
Creative Aging Mid-South presents high quality, professional arts performances and workshops with local (and sometimes nationally-known) artists in nursing homes, retirement communities, senior centers, and adult day care facilities. Programs are scheduled at convenient (usually afternoon) times, and in formats responsive to the needs of audiences with cognitive or physical disabilities.
· Ensure elders have continued access to arts programs and opportunities for creative expression
· Provide programming for vital & frail elderly as well as those limited by financial constraints
· Promote positive connections between individual older adults and the general community
· Nurture and support lifelong learning and engagement
· Honor the creative contributions and wisdom of older adults
