Patty is a seasoned Performance Artist with a strong background in Mime, Puppetry and Clowning. She has been performing professionally for over 35 years in a variety of spaces including theatres, schools, museums, classrooms and festival sidewalks!
She began her career in Fredonia New York -traveling with The MUMMERS Summer Touring group. After receiving two theatre degrees she toured with Lexington Children's Theatre and Blue Apple Players out of Kentucky. Other Theatres along the way included Studio Arena Theatre in Buffalo New York, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Astor's Beechwood of Newport Rhode Island, Alaska Theatre for Youth and Training Better Artists Theatre of Anchorage Alaska.
When moving to Memphis in 1989 for a contract with Playhouse on the Square, she became a founding member of Three Piece Storytelling. This small group of three bounced about the Mid-South using Mime and Clowning to spread the joys of imagination.
Although she has worked most of her professional career with school age children—her Charlie Chaplin, Lil Elvi, and Faulkner short stories are a favorite among senior homes and private parties. Her motto, ‘a character for any occasion’ speaks to the endless possibilities that Patty can bring to your community. Whether as storyteller, mime, clown, or historical figure, Patty is sure to bring smiles to your community.
