2020 Senior Arts Series Season

Songstress Joyce Cobb, backed by the fabulous Bosco’s Trio musicians, joins Ron Jewell, a formidable Mark Twain, to present the music of the Mississippi River combined with humorous readings from Twain’s popular works.  Joyce Cobb has been a constant on the Memphis music scene since the mid-1970s. Studying the masters of blues and jazz, Joyce incorporated her varied musical interests and crafted a sound that was uniquely her own. Ron Jewell first impersonated America’s greatest humorist in 1974. Since then, Mr. Jewell has performed as Mr. Twain more than 3,000 times across the United States.  Mr. Jewell led the Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center for many years and now works with The Orpheum’s Halloran Centre for Performing Arts and Education.
